How can this all fit together?

Our three programs work seamlessly together, offering an engaging Torah education experience:

  • ~2nd/3rd Grade: Students are introduced to Torah through Torah Comics and coloring pages (ie. receiving a book as a gift)

  • ~4th/5th grade: Students will be looking forward to creating their own comic book with the Cartooning Curriculum!

  • Special Event: Torah Cartooning workshop with ANDiDREW

  • Special gift: Gift the Parsha Showdown game to students for finishing a sefer/chagigah!

Not only will students learn so much, they will also want to stay in your school from when they read the comics until they can create their own!

Frequently asked questions

What materials do we need for the workshop?

We like to keep things easy: students just need paper and pencil for the drawing workshop (and a table to draw on). For comic making, students need printed comic boxes (which we will send to you in a PDF).

For the presentation and instruction, we need a screen and a whiteboard or big paper pad to draw on.

How many students can you teach at once?

While we can teach up to 100 students at a time (if space allows), we recommend limiting the workshop to one class at a time (<25 students). This way students get to ask questions and receive attention and feedback on their drawings. There is a fee of $75 for workshops of over 25 students.

How long is each workshop?

Workshops are usually 45 minutes and include an inspiring presentation about the journey of publishing Torah Comics: from 6th grade doodles to a published book!

What age are the workshops for?

We have lesson plans to fit all ages, from pre-K through adults. Our most popular age range is elementary school grades (Grades 1-5). We especially recommend our Chagigat Chumash program for grades that are starting to learn Chumash—they’ll love learning with our comics and workshops!

Can we use the curriculum with our existing curriculums?

Of course! We designed the Parsha-Middot Curriculum to either be a weekly Parsha class activity, or to be an activity for once in a while (to bring some fun and middot into the classroom). We recommend the once a week option to stay with the Parsha Hashavuah.
