Cartooning Workshops

2nd - 7th grade | ~40 min | 25-75 students/workshop

Students learn how Andrew applied his love for drawing to create Torah Comics, when he was just 12 years old. Students are inspired to follow their dreams, like he did.

Then students get to draw their own comic with Andrew step-by-step! Comics can be on any theme of the school/shuls choosing.

Mini Classroom Visit

2nd - 7th grade | ~20 min | ~25 students/visit

This shortened version of the cartooning workshops is perfect for schools with tight schedules and many classes. Andrew gives a condensed presentation about his journey to publishing and teaches students how to draw their own Torah Comic person!

Recommended Program: Chagigat Chumash

What if a student's first interaction with Torah was a fun comic book?
Kids love reading and drawing comics! Let’s introduce them to Torah through something they love!
It's the perfect gift for a Chagigat Chumash!

Frequently asked questions

What materials do we need?

We like to keep things easy: students just need paper and pencil for the drawing workshop (and a table to draw on). For comic making, students need printed comic boxes (which we will send to you in a PDF).

For the presentation and instruction, we need a screen and a whiteboard or big paper pad to draw on.

How many students can you teach at once?

While we can teach up to 75 students at a time (if space allows), we recommend limiting the workshop to one class at a time (<25 students). This way students get to ask questions and receive attention and feedback on their drawings. There is a small fee for workshops to larger groups.

How many classes can we do in a day?

As many as you want! We love to inspire as many students as possible in each school. One school had us do 12 classes in a day so we could inspire 300 students. We will work with you to accommodate schedules.

What age do you recommend?

We have lesson plans to fit all ages, from pre-K through adults. Our most popular age range is elementary school grades (Grades 1-5). We especially recommend our Chagigat Chumash program for grades that are starting to learn Chumash—they’ll love learning with our comics and workshops!
